Default The Visitor [Pink Tongue Skink]

    A visitor to the shed.
I suspect he's found that it's a good source of food, there are many small spiders all over the place, also snails hide in the dark places..

I haven't seen a lizard like this one before, so far I have been unable to identify it. But he is a curious chap, not at all frightened by my presence and with very deliberate movements of the head as if he is inspecting me cautiously.

It's a rather interesting looking creature, our winters are too cold for lizards but we have lots of snakes.

No idea what type of lizard but he knows how to play the ham so his good side is toward the camera.

Simply amazing shot. I've never seen this type of fellow before either. How cool.

Edit: He looks alot like one of the species of blue-tongued lizards. He didn't happen to stick his tongue out at you, did he?

It looks pretty certain that the animal is a Pink Tongue Skink, a relative of the Blue Tongue Skink (also called Blue Tongue Lizards here)

He's still in the shed which is kind of funny because he's 'shedding' his skin at the moment, very likely why he found a small dark box (of car parts) to hide in.
