Resizable photos

Many websites have small versions of very large images. When the cursor is over the image it changes to the magnifying glass icon and if you click the image it enlarges.

This does not happen in Web Designer unless you make each image a popup.

Is this something that is possible to do in a future version? And does anybody else think this would be useful?

Gary, if I understand you correctly, you'd like to see the cursor to change to a magnifying glass when it is over an PopUp photo.

I totally agree as it is a universally recognized web "icon"; thus, users would immediately know what to expected.

Another type of cursor could be a LOOP magnifying glass where the frame of the photo does not change but the cursor magnifies everything under it.

No, there are some websites that have scaled down photos, When you click the photo it enlarges. I'm not talking about a pop up.

I have a real estate client who was asking if I can do this and I can't. NetObjects does not do it either.

That's a neat script, but will require the entire WD page to have dynamic placement to allow for the photo enlarging (which pushes the rest of the page downwards). Currently not doable with native WD output.

I use a lot of scripts from dynamic drive. Hope one day this is possible in WD.

If you really want to play with javascript/dhtml/ajax
do a search for mootools or jquery
