Maya ... I think your right about the face merge ... I couldn't get it to look right either. Your version is much better.

Yeah, Ed, it's a bit of a challenge with the proportions. Here I gave it another shot and took LOTS of liberties with the image (sheesh painted in the eyeballs too) but it looks kinda interesting. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Ya know this morphing of animals to man might be a fun challenge....

Maya i am looking at your picture and i see a challenge. so i hunted down the picture you drew of a wolf here at TG and found a picture of apache wolf anfd i am tryig to come up with one half as good as yours. tried with no luck in xara so i moved it over to psp 9. will post it soon

The lined texture gives it a nice sort of pen-sketched or engraved effect which works out well. I like the subtle color tones. I could imagine a whole book of such illustrations for some topic like totem animals or a story.
