Google Chrome not showing alt text

I'm playing with Web Designer and just noticed that no alternate text is displayed when viewing in Google Chrome.
I googled this and found people stating the problem but no solutions.
Any ideas?

ALT text should not be a pop up tip in a web browser. IE incorrectly renders it as a tooltip. Only the TITLE= attribute should generate a popup tip.
This has led to people assuming that the ALT attribute is for tip popups. (Also incorrectly being referred to as a 'tag' - it isn't)

In Xtreme you can do this via the NAME tab for an image name>> ALT="cat" image TITLE="This is a picture of my cat"

WD doesn't have this (yet), in my opinion it's an omission that ought to have been there already.

It's worth noting that unlike the ALT atrribute, the "TITLE" attribute can be inserted inside any HTML tag. Quite useful for text links.

Yes the mousover popup entry is easy to miss when concentrating on the image tab (I missed it - sorry John)

He, he, no more messing with special object names!
Well, actually, if someone likes it, there is still one special option that can be used only with a special object name syntax. Kind of undocumented feature for advanced users.
If you want to embed flash object using SWFObject script (well known), instead of using embed flash option, you should add following name to the placeholder object:

swfobject="filename.swf"
