Default Key Shortcut for Color picker

It would be very useful to have an ability (to assign a key shortcut) to temporal switching to the Color Picker.

For example, I'm working with a Fill Tool, making a gradient fill. Selecting a fill color node I need to apply some color from the photo, etc. Pressing shortcut key -- switching to the Color Picker, after applying a color I have Fill Tool back... The same is very useful when working with other tools too.

    Thanks!

    Hi Alex,

Did you know you can use the Color Picker from the Color Line while the Fill Tool is active?

Select the fill handle you want to apply a color from your reference and drag the Color Picker from the Color Line to the area you wish to sample. The node is updated to your sampled colour and the Fill Tool is still the active tool.

Well, the closest thing is Ctrl+E which brings up the colour palette, you can drag the picker from that to the colour you want to copy and press Ctrl+E again to get rid of it. Not exactly the same thing, but close.

Yes, I know how to deal with the Color Picker in the current version, and it seems not very convenient/productive.

Nope, I meant, in the AI you can press 'I' button and your current tool is switching to the Eyedropper...

Then you can wait 15 seconds for the page to reload. Meanwhile I'm off to something new in Xara

    Yes this would be great...
I would like the eyedropper to only be active whilst the button was held then when released to return you back to your original tool...with the new colour ready.
