Default JPEG Banner needs to link to a website

I'm very new to Xara and this forum. I created a banner that is really just a JPEG not a flash or moving giff. I need to embed the link in the image map, I think, so clicking on the banner will take you to the web site. I've tried everything I can and have exhausted myself reading so I'm turning to you pros. A link to where I can find the tutorial discussing this would be fine..thanks new friends, Jeff

I'm assuming this banner is sitting on a html page. In which case wrap the image in an <a> tag: http://www.htmlquick.com/reference/tags/a.html

Paul thanks for the reply. That is what I assumed but I thought maybe Xara had a step where it would add this information to the image? Where when I sent it to my client it would have the link attatched or embedded? Thanks again Jeff.

Xara Xtreme adds the anchor link to the HTML <img tag for the JPG image.
You cannot embed a live link 'into' a JPG and send it alone as a clickable hyperlinked resource locator.

Image Maps are 'co-ordinates' which relate to a specific image in order to create a clickable 'hot spot area' for that image. The map co-ordinates are saved as part of the html source code which must be included with the actual jpg. In other words, both files must exist - the html source and the image itself. One without the other would not produce a working result.
