    Default Renaming pages

Can the pages as shown in the example on Gary's workbook:

    index
    page 1
    page 2
    page 3

be renamed in XWB to have more meaningful names like:

    index
    accomodation
    restaurant
    gymnasium
"Second class fairway is better than first class rough!"

Not sure I understand your question. Are you asking if you can rename the first page on the site Page 1 rather than Index?

If so, you can, but you probably would not want to do that. When you point a browser to an URL, such as www.TalkGraphics.com, the browser looks for a file called index.htm or index.html

If it finds this page, it displays the page without you having to add index.htm(l) to the URL.

If the browser does not find an index file it displays the contents of your folder.

If you rename your home page Page 1 then you need to add this to the web address after the domain name and preceded by a black slash.

    Thanks Gary, that was quick!

It's just that when we're doing web page design in college, we always insist that the students use a page name that is meaningful so when they're looking through the list, it's easy to pick out the page they need and it also looks a bit more "professional" in the address bar.
