    Default Menu doesn't show up

Well, I need help again. I created the menu. When I open the file in Dreamweaver, I don't see it on the screen but when I preview in the browser, it's there.

I uploaded it but as you can see, it doesn't show up. I checked the code and it doesn't look anything like the other codes I had.

Can you please take a look and let me know what's missing or what I'm dong wrong?

    Thank you.

    Hi Judy,

Looking at the page from your link the source shows a reference to new_menu_home.js with a relative path to a location on your hard drive.

Please locate the file on your site and then update the reference to that path.

For some reason that new_menu_home.js is not showing up on my hard drive. When I try to find it, all that comes up is the html file.

Judy that reference doesn't seem to be actually needed. Possibly something cached by Dreamweaver?

Try editing your source to read as shown in the attached image.

When I do that it doesn't show up when I try to preview it in the browser. I don't understand why it doesn't show up in Dreamweaver. No WYSIWYG

Judy when you said the file was not on your hard drive how did you check to see if it was or not?

That is strange. The path "../../AppData/Local/Temp/WS3" is normally a hidden folder perhaps that has made the file not appear in search results.

The WS3 would indicate Webstyle 3 rather than version 4. Did you perhaps upgrade from version 3 to 4?

Are you running Windows XP or Vista? The method to make hidden folders visible is slightly different for the two versions of Windows.

I had reformatted my hard drive and after doing so, I loaded version 4 from the CD. I don't think I ever had version 3.

    I am using Windows Vista.

I am going to be away from my computer for about 20 minutes. I will check in when I get back. I really appreciate your help.

We are going to be doing a mass mailing next week for this website and I want the menus to be consistent on all the pages.

Judy the attached image shows how to make hidden files and folders visible in Vista.

AppData is a folder within your user profile.
