Egg, try blends with more steps, feathering and transparencies with profiles.

All smoke and flames are in my example blended curves.

Cheers Paul. I hardy used any blends at all. I think that's the way I was looking for to add some fill inside of the wisps that I created using thick lines, converted to shapes and applying heavy feathering and some transparency.

Love your flame, I might revisit mine and add more red.
