A cool beginning, John. The lava-like texturing is interesting...works in some places with more of a glow than in others. I'm wondering if she might look like there's more heat being given off if the background were some darker color and a reddish sort of glow eminated around her a bit (I'd redden the hair more to contrast with such a background change if attempted). The areas on her face which seem to capture the hot lava glow fx best are mainly on the right side where the light source seems to be...more like that in other areas would be good. Maybe try an experiment with a darker background and see if this heats her up more...some post work with PS or other ap to smooth out the line below her jaw on the right also.

The first portrait is very very good, it want some atmosphere and backgrounds and the end...nic pic.
but, second your update is terrible...nice head but composition of pic and atmosphere is about nothing....sorry for my criticism, it is only my opinion. Try to do something with it.
But the idea is very good

Hey Miress thx 4 the comment and yes I will do some more things with the Image, but keep in mind that i am a beginner and i'm still testing all the things 3D programs can do.
I'll keep workin on it but have to try new things to find all the options in the programs.
Made my own eyes for this image not the standard ones.
