    Default Help with logo

I made a logo design ages ago for a Finnish company called Satunallet which roughly translated means story-book teddies (satu = story/tale, nalle = teddy, nallet = teddies). They originally started with selling and distributing story-books but later on concentrated more on puzzles, games and accessories like coloring pencils etc, and now they would like an updated logo.

Obviously I suffer from a "writer's block" and don't find any ideas that work. So far I played with the ideas of two teddies building a tower with ABC blocks, or teddies building the word "satunallet". Another idea is to put the word satunallet inside a simple jig-saw puzzle.

As it is a logo the ideas I've sketched so far are too complicated, they need to be simplified a lot.

Any one got any tips or ideas? NOTE: this is not a request for a logo design, merely a push to get me in the "right" direction!

I attached the original design for you to see the current look and feel.

Sounds like you're well on your way by yourself Paul.

    I agree that Logo's should be simplified (symbolic/iconic ?)
It's the KISS principle applied to art I suppose. That's the tricky part.

    Hi Paul,

Maybe the two teddies can be lying on their stomachs like children often do. Heads propped on their hands and feet up. A puzzle or portion of puzzle between them. Maybe a coloured pencil or two somewhere in the scene. Then the name of the company beneath.
