Create CDRom design

Hi

I am new here and I hope you can help me. I am trying to create a CDRom design. I have a template from the company that will print the CDRoms with specifications and I need to create my design on that and then remove the template and send the file as an object. I wish to use a phot background with text but I cannot work out how to make a circular object and extract it clearly. I am using PI 10. Can anyone help me? I would be very grateful.

I would use the 2D path object and choose the circular shape. Then resize it to the size of the template. Convert that to an image object, paste the photo into the object, add text, then clear the background. I would also suggest working with a copy of the template, so you wouldn't lose it. Pay close attention to the file format, size and dpi, too.
