Welcome to TG Bomb_Jack,
I couldn't say what's caused the line straightening, never seen that in XX before.
Anyway here's a xar file that works correctly and perhaps you can use it to rebuild your animation.
By the way there's no need for the clipview as XX exports the swf based on the page size. Anything outside the page size is just not used.
EDIT: I suspect it might have something to do with the multiple url links in your original, but I can't be sure.

If the the difference in size or shape in between each tween is too great, then the shape will distort.
Bomb Jack you have used named objects and then you have constructed the animation like a .gif. This is not the way to use tweens.
Egg's example is the correct way.
Also it is not necessary to make multiple copies of the background. Just use it on the 1st frame, set it to 0 second duration and click on 'B' for background.
Page size auto clipping only happens in Version 4.

thanks so much!!!
