    Default 375 Named Color Palette

The attached zip file contains a .pal file that contains 375 named colours. The names and specs for the colours comes from the Wikipedia article List of Colors and some of the linked articles about shades of colours.

Simple download the zip file to your computer and extract the pal file to a folder. Copy or move the pal file to your Program Files/Xara/your installed version/Palettes folder.

When you start your version of X, X¹, or Xtreme the new palette will be in the Color Gallery. You can drag a copy of any of the named colours from the Color Library Color Names palette to your new documents area of the Color Gallery. The named colours will appear on your Color Line, ready for use in your drawing.

Thanks very much for that, Bill. I have them installed and on my colour line and they are arranged by name. Is it possible for me to arrange them by hue?
By the way, do the other 15,999,625 colours have names too?
EDIT: It's OK, Bill, I managed to do it - (the options button in the Colour Gallery).
    Saludos,
    Bob.

    You are welcome Bob.

Open the Colour Gallery and select any colour within the palette. Click on the Options button at the top of the Gallery and then click on Sort. Choose how you want the colours sorted. You may want to select "Only apply the sort to sections containing selected items".

When the colours are sorted in the Gallery they are also sorted in the same fashion on the color line.

They will revert to Alphabetical at each start up of Xtreme.

I recommend only putting the colours you will use in a specific document on the color line.

If the other 15,9999,625 colours have names I'm not sure I want to know them. It was a tedious process creating the palette.I could not get Xtreme to accept anything except old CorelDraw 4.0 palettes.

Thanks John, Steve, Bob, and Odat.

Ted was off on an excellent adventure.

Has anyone used .pal or .cpl palettes with Xtreme? I'm curious which versions can be successfully used. I have used myPANTONE created palettes, but they have all consisted of a small number of colours.

Kudos Bill. With your permission I'll make this available in the Xara Xone Shareware are.

Also thanks for the reminder about sort by hue and sort by name. From time to time my custom palette comes up sorted by hue and I would rather have it sorted by name and vice versa.
