Yes it does work this way for me. This wasn't the problem. The confusion came from the ambiguity of using the word "link" for two different meanings. There is no problem making text flow across text boxes on different pages; there is a problem assigning web links to a single text box containing text that is flowing across to another text box on a different page. The problem is identified and sorted now; there is nothing further to discuss (at least by me).
