    Hi Gray,

Isn't it a pain to see some old guy using your things?

Happens to me all the time.

    Nice pic.

Ragged to post... Fresh off the presses (just now)...

    1. Me (more full in 2009...)
    2. A part of my office space.
    3. My 1950's Bell Canada chair (it has a ridge in the middle (didn't quite show...)). It looks like a torture device but it's quite comfortable...

I never saw this post before but now that I have, I'll be the second woman to post an image. I don't care for photographs of myself because the camera seems to put 50 lbs on me Here goes anyway. The image with the permed hair is from a long while ago. The short hair is a few years ago...or it seems like it was only a few years ago. I don't have any newer pictures of me on my computer so these will have to do.

Edit: Brian and I just celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary on Friday. I wanted to do something different for dinner and decided to have sushi and sake for the first time in my life. I once tried escargo, because I want to try everything in life, and it was good even though mucus spewing organisms are not usually on my menu. Anyway, if I ever mention having sushi again, please shoot me. What's with all the raw fish? I thought sashimi was raw fish. Brian ate my sushi (his first time too but he liked it) and I ate his lobster. I usually won't eat lobster because I refuse to eat anything that is boiled alive but it was already cooked. My stance on no cruelty to animals wouldn't have helped that poor fellow. And what's with that wasabi???? Hot, hot, hottttt!

Hi Nancy Nice to meet you..

It was great to see Risto (and his chair) and to have bumped this thread because since Web Designer's release we have many new members join (or re join) us at TG. Perhaps they too would like to introduce themselves here.

Congratulations on the anniversary Nancy and Brian.

Sushi is rice with raw fish, fish eggs, and/or vegetables and wasabi on the side.

Sashimi is usually the raw fish and a soy sauce with wasabi. Maguro (bluefin tuna) Sashimi is very popular.

Wasabi is great for clearing the sinuses and making the top of your head feel like it is exploding.

Don't forget the seaweed wrapping ..

Sushi is becoming a popular Fast Food item here in Australia which pleases my son as a new Sushi shop has opened up right next to where he works.
For some bizarre reason (which I cannot fathom) - he likes the stuff (sans wasabi).

These days a variety pack of Sushi usually includes chicken, vegetable and fish egg (Salmon Roe) varients - all neatly wrapped in smelly seaweed.

    I'll have the bread'n'dripping thanks

If you like fish, then I would think that sushi would be a great fast food. My fish has to taste like fish sticks or breaded and deep fried for me to eat it. Surprisingly, it was the nori seaweed that gave the most fishy taste to the caterpillar rolls or I might have liked them.

The eel was awful (second time I tasted it and second time I disliked it), the shrimp was ok and all the other fishes (2 salmons, 2 tuna, 1 white fish and something else) were pretty bland. It was just the uncooked texture of them that made my stomach knot up and become nauseous.

I eat wakami seaweed and brown miso soup...love both, but their miso was fishy tasting. I couldn't believe that every single thing they served, except for the fillet mignon had a fish flavor to it. Could it be because the name of the place was Swordfish and it's a sushi restaurant? Lol.

On topic, yes, I hope some new members post their pics

Just to keep the thread on topic and as I often mention my son Derek, here's a photo of him in a noodle restaurant in Japan last year.
He lived on Sushi, rice and noodle variants for the entire 3 weeks I think.
Apparently other than fish - the Japanese like to eat a lot of Pork - something he wasn't to keen on.
