I am now 40 years according to the solar calendar.
One friend of mine said that in his culture, a man is not considered a man until he is 40.
As far as I can remember, all of the prophets received their call at this age (except Prophet Jesus who was born a prophet). And in Western culture they say that 'life begins at 40'.
Another friend said "what is the point in celebrating birthdays when it is an indicator that you are getting even closer to your own demise". He was a jolly chap.
