Default Can Somebody Help Me With Flash Insertion Into Html

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong when trying to insert these three flashes "flashleft", "flashcenter", "flashright" into my html page ..."index.html"

    Between the --------------------'s I inserted

the <script type="text/javascript" src="ieupdate.js"></script> as suggested into the page

I also inserted the html souce code for the three flashes, changing the swf names they had inserted with the names of the three flashes I had created.

I also fiddled with the place holders in the generated code of the actual website home page with no success in placing them where they should be.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

As always, much gratitude in advance for all your help.

This has been discussed a number of times at TG, basically you need to make sure you retain the absolute positioning of the placeholder when replacing it with your flash object code.

eg: style="left: *px; top: *px; width: *px; height: *px; position: absolute;"/

Use the Xtreme Forum Search with the keywords EMBEDDING FLASH

    Default Thanks for the input

Thanks to you both for taking the time to respond. I've been trying for a while to find the right information as I've tried several times to do what's asked as I understand it.

    Default gratitude!

thanks again Aridzone for your offer of help. I've done the insertion and registration, (although I spent some time trying to run it from the run option in the start menu as opposed to a dos window) Still no luck, but I'll get to it eventually.

Metro, you're going about it the wrong way. From your txt file I see that your creating your site in Xtreme. Use placeholders in Xtreme to insert the swf files, don't try to insert it into the source code.

    See here

So name the 3 placeholder as shown in the attached screengrab

Finally ensure the swf's are stored in the index.htm_files folder

Hi Egg. This has already been sorted and understood by Metro in the more recent thread.

Maybe this thread should be closed to save confusion?
