Default Text issue in multi-page document

I have a multi-page text document (six pages, or thereabouts). I have cut and pasted some text into the last couple of pages. The penultimate page displays the text correctly, but the text on the following page displays the text as broken, red text which is unreadable. The text was imported without any formatting and I cannot see any reason for the problem in the menus. Any advice would be welcome, as I don't want to have to export the text to another application.

    Welcome to TG.

My first piece of advise would be to attach your .xar file so we can have a look for you.

Hello Alter Ego, Welcome to Talkgraphics. I have had this happen quite often, your text somehow has been pasted on the guides layer. Select the text with the selector tool, open the layers gallery, select the layer the text should be on and click move.

Good one Frances.. I've not had this happen with text personally, but good to watch out for.

Many, many thanks. I will have a look when I get to work. I need this material today, so this has been of enormous help.
