Default stop & Post November 2008

Wow, is it really November already? Seems as if only yesterday it as the beginning of the years.

Please take a few moments and show your current Xara X(treme) project. Be it a work in progress or a completed project we all enjoy seeing how varied our favorite program can be used.

Nothing much going on so far this month.
So here's a quick sketch of my companion sitting next to me (on his own chair no less!)

I was reading sledger's thread about foiling the feline when I had a great idea about doing just this.
But half way through the drawing process I realized it would be too off-topic for me to post my idea in his thread, cause he was asking for serious ideas. So I decided to post it here instead. Enjoy

Once you get a bit of a working knowledge with X4, this is reasonably simple to do, yet effective. I was showing someone an example of X4 with this graphic.
    What a great programme!

    Rupert,

    You said it!

Here's your 3D cog with the center drive hub connected to the gear ring, I mean gearing, or is it gear-ring. No, no, maybe it's... Oh, forget it, here it is...

    Thanks for the inspiration,
    HayTay

Here's a work in progress of Emmeline Pankhurst sort of only finished the eye's and the nose ... the rest of it needs to be done. The face is 100% vector done with soft brushes and lots of different colours.

On road signs. I don't know about in other parts of the world but over here in Australia, road signs are in plague proportion. Going into a small town I counted 17 government erected signs (relating to the road) on one side of the road going into a small isolated country town.
I have a friend who does car retrieval for those involved in accidents who lives and works in the same area. He told me the road workers were repairing a bridge - 60 signs were erected on the approach to the bridge, warning of the situation. There were still 3 near fatal accidents. One suggestion was that the drivers were too busy reading all the signs to take notice of the impending traffic hazard. Road signs are big business!
