How to learn ActionScript fast?

Hi all,

Im new to this forum and am a novice at using Flash CS3. I am very envious of others' nice work which should have been designed by AS. Any advice on how to learn AS fast?

It's not so much a question of learning actionscript fast as learning actionscript well. There's also the question of what you want to use it for - flash and actionscript is used for anything from artistic animation to producing business applications.

That said, I think the fastest route is lynda.com and if you want a book for actionscript 3.0 then "Learning ActionScript 3.0: A Beginner's Guide" is highly recommended.

As I said, it all depands what you want to do with flash.

www.gotoAndlearn.com is a great place to learn..
also, I am the Mod. at www.FlashVillage.com
a site that has some really Great Free Flash templates,
which you can Pick apart to learn...
& the forum section has many AS tutorials posted from users.

I found this forum when searching for how to easily learn Actionscript. I've been using MotionArtist for my Flash needs and I love it's ease of use but it's very limited. Best of all I don't need to know Actionscript. Is there anything else out there other than MotionArtist and Swish that will make Flash without knowing Actionscript? And is anyone familiar with Swish? Is it a good buy?
