Colour and Quality

I am fairly new to writing flash animations. My animation works and I have chosen my colour FFFEF7. I export my animation and it works fine but two problems.

1. Even though the colour I am using in my other application is using the same value they two appear different

2. The quality of the graphics in the output swf is ok but could be better

If you are using Xara Pro the best way to match colors is to use the color picker.
