text problem- pro XI

I am new to this forum. Regarding text, using Pro XI - when I type in the text it is outlined (hollow) rather than solid. How do I get solid text. This occurs regardless of the font type I use.

if I remember rightly outline and fill are foreground and background colors - or the other way round - so you may have one of these set to no color?

Welcome.

Check your vector properties. With text tool selected, right click on your text and then click properties. This should bring up the vector properties where you can change the stroke and fill properties of your text.

Thanks to both jyoung and handrawn -- problem solved -- I went to the foreground and background - muddled with it and was able to fill in the lettering successfully.
