Default Corel Painter IX Script Error

I've recently gotten back into painting using Corel Painter, and before I would start up the program and it would load for 5 seconds and crash. Now after an uninstall and a reinstall Painter loads up but with an Internet Explorer Error.

    Please help!

    Welcome to TG Megan

IE script errors are a nuisance most of the time, even worse when no error is actually detailed.
You could try the generic fix and see if that works:

    Open Internet Explorer
    Open the <Tools> menu
Select the <Internet Options> menu item
    Open the <Advanced> tab
Check the box next to "Disable script debugging"
Remove the check next to "Display a notification about every script error"
    Click the <OK> button

If you followed the steps above it should have stopped any IE script error window popping up. If it still pops up, try again because something didn't take.

Unless you are seeing another error ?

What happens when you press 'Yes' ?

Also, shutting down your computer then restarting it will allow new registry settings to be loaded. Please also try this.

Have you tried holding down the shift key as Painter starts up to reset Painter to its defaults? Painters start window connects to IE to update the images on the splash page - which may be why it's bringing up an ie error if there's a glitch.

You could also try upgrading IE to the new IE8 Beta. I find it's much more stable (so far) than IE7. Personally I found IE7 would give errors and have to close on nearly every use.
    It may help.
