    Default Application tip: DropBox

This is quite a handy file synchronization application/service I've been using lately: DropBox (www.getdropbox.com)

Put simply: you install the software and you get a My Dropbox folder on you computer. Everything you put into that folder will be synchronized on every computer you have installed Dropbox on.

So instead of e-mailing your stuff from work to your home/personal account, or copying files to your USB-stick (which I way too often tend to forget in computers) you just save your files in the Dropbox folder.

Also, if you happen to use a computer without installed Dropbox you can get your hands on your files through a web browser.

The free Dropbox service allows an account with 2 GB file space.

You can also share your dropbox with for example clients or co-workers.

    Now that i find handy,Thanks
One thing i found a downside is the usage of resources(cpu)
But you can shut it down and open simply the dropbox-folder and edit your file
next time you connect to the box the file is updated.
    One nice thing tough:
If you delete a file on one computer(accidently or intended)there's a restore function to get it back.
You can provide this service to your customers as html files are executed to view in browser(when your a webdesigner)
even when you provide just link??

Would someone care to test this for me??(will have the link only on today)
So tell me what you see(note: it has flash in it for those who have blocked these)

**Deleted link, testing was done,no longer need for it**

I think it came through as intended. I clicked on the link and saw a nice, clean looking bit of Flash, with cross-hairs and a text box spiraling down to the center.

I will be installing the drop box software IMMEDIATELY!!!

    Thanks Will,

Some nice extra features are in this software.
Haven't had enough time to play with(yet)

I saw the same flash animation Will saw, works fine, Hans.

Another nice thing is that it's pretty platform independent: works on Windows, Mac and Linux (and web browsers)
