    Default Sugarly

Once again I didn't have the time to finish my illustration to the weekly Illustration Friday, but fortunately I can post it here instead :-)

It's once again a sketchy illustration (this time pencil) and I added the colors in Xtreme. This time I thought I'd try a more duo tone approach using sepia like tones. The complete work (from sketch > scan > colors > export) is under an hour's work (as I tried to finish it before deadline). This week's theme was 'Sugarly'

Very professional, Paul. Reminds me of what my dad used to say to his mother, "Want a little coffee with that cream, mom?"

    Thumbs up Re: Sugarly

There is something about the sketchiness of pencil that you cannot capture on the computer. There is a spontaneity that adds a lot of charm to an already fun image.

In this neck of the woods it is so hard to get a good cup of coffee like you show in your pencil sketch. I have had to go so far as to request an empty cup, cream, sugar and a decanter of coffee. Most of the time they just bring you a full cup of road tar they call coffee.
