Default An exercise in Truespace 7.6

It has been a long time since I posted in the 3D forum.

Playing around with TrueSpace 7.6 recently and thought I would post one of the images.

    Hi Gidgit,

So far Truespace I'm liking it. It is different enough from the older 4.0 version and it has been a long time since I worked with that version.

Still learning to use Truespace 7.6. I prefer Cinema 4D's material editor, but Truespace may grow on me with more practice.

Changed the lighting to reveal the displacement on the text and a little post processing in Xara Xtreme 4.0.

EDIT: I've added a copy of the image before doing any post processing, for comparison.

Yea, lighting is everything else for sure... I mean, how many poses and renders one goes through with lighting tweaks all the way, before one gets even close to what they were aiming for... good thing they supply so many options for quick preview renders...

Looks better with more lights for sure in this case Bill...

I was looking forward to playing with trueSpace 7.6, but I'm going to have to have a serious sit down with the video tutorials, because on loading the programme, I have to say "I havent got a clue how it works". I didn't know quite what to expect, but that GUI is not simple.

Keith I would recommend starting with the manual. The video tutorials assume you know the interface, how to model, and apply materials very well.

The interface is a bit intimidating even though I have worked with an older version of the program.

    manual?

    what manual?

i found none in the download, in the installation directory or anywhere online. HELP does nothing either.

i love the new look... hated the old one. I think TS could be my primary modeler (as much as i hate giving props to MS)... but hell's bells... i cannot find a manual.

    can someone copy me?
