Default Help, more advanced users needed!

Hi people, i run my own business called Viking Communications,
I want to get part of my logo to spin (the viking head) whilst leaving another part stationary, but having bought the program i realise that i am out of my depth.. i wonder if someone who is more ofay with the program could do it for me???
i have attached the logo, all i want is the writing to stay put and the head to spin arround anticlockwise?

    Welcome to Talkgraphics VCL.

Have you had a try at doing it yourself at all? If so, perhaps you could post your results and we could help you from there.

If at any time you need to redo it - for an e-mail or for a different look, it would be a lot better if you knew how (especially since you said you have bought the programme). As programmes go, it's quite simple once you understand the initial concept.

Thats fine, im not opposed to crossing palms with silver for a service provided, but i would rather cross the palm of a person who cares about the job and would do it for the love... than the companies who just try and seperate limb from torso....

if you want to give me a cost you would do this for us for and send me a email, daniel.king@vikingcommunications.co.uk..
We have Paypal to provide an instant secure payment if you want to do the job and your cost is fair..

I have tries to use the program but trying to follow the instruction i have found elsewhere on the site seems to confuse me only more.. I have Corel Paintshop Professional edition 11 and cannot fathom this whole vector thing at all!
Unfortunately im the sort of person who leans through being shown and then being supervised whilst i try... not the sort who can learn from a book...

I never intended to free load but 3 hours of trying and 3 hours of failing to do anything other than acomplish a red dot on a page that seems to disapear when i try anything else is just infuriating...

Just try the basics first - Then when you get that done we'll address Xara 3D6.

Instead of using PSP use the copy of Xara Webster that came with Xara 3D6. Open the VCL graphic. Now draw round the helmet graphic using the shape editor tool to draw straight lines from point to point. If you move the cursor next to an already drawn line segment, it will turn into an arrow. You can then click and drag the line segment into a curve. Once you close the shape it will go black. Left click on the crosshatched area on the colour bar to make it transparent. This will make it a lot easier to adjust the line segments to match the outline of the helmet. Once you have the shape complete, left click on a colour on the colour line to reapply a coloured fill. You now have your basic shape to cut and paste into 3D6.

It should have come with the Xara 3D6 CD as standard. Was it not with it?

So it has to look something like this?

About 35 minutes work, and I made some mistakes on the way
because it has been a while again since I did this, and am a "dumb"
contructionworker, I am sure you can figure this out, if only to save face now
    .

Nice job ankhor. Is that using ss-kalm's method with Xara 3D v6? I didn't know you could put bitmaps into that program. (if that's what you did).
