    Default S L O W X2 Ultimate

I have PSP X2 Ultimate and it is VERY slow. When I delete a jpg/png/psp whatever, it takes a long time to delete . I have counted as high as 50 before it finished. The same is true when I try to move a graphics to a different folder.

    My operating info:

2.10 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core
    WinXP Pro with SP3
    2 gig RAM

More than adequate internal and external storage, nearly 2 TB's combined.

    Thank you in advance,

Did you have the original X2 installed before installing ultimate?

I was going to upgrade and did not want to hear any bad news

How does that new background remover work?

What version is the new ultimate?

My regular PSP X2 is 12.01

    Good luck.

    Dear Hooterville <g>

I had the trial version installed until I got PSP X2 Ultimate in the mail. I uninstalled the trial version, rebooted, then installed it.:-)

I have not tried the backgroud remover yet, I just got the CD today and just haven't had time to check out everything:-)

As to what version it is, all it says is:

    Paint Shop Pro X2 Ultimate.

Except for it being so slow, I like it. The version I have used the longest is PSP 9:-)

    OK,
I'll post back here next week when I have the program in hand and let you know if it gives me problems also.

I have the full version of X2 on my computer now and it works just fine.

I'll let you know how ultimate compares next week.

Maybe you should try updating the program and see if there are any newer updates you can download.

    Good luck.

I think there must be some kind of conflict in my computer and psp. this also happened when I had the trial version of PSP X2. I just don't know where to look.

I did check for any updates, and there weren't any. I have cleaned out my temp files, did a defrag etc.

I know my machine has the power to run Ultimate, so something is screwy somewhere <g>

I sure hope yours works great when you get it:-) I have a freind who has it and she doesn't have any problems either, go figure <g>

    Welcome to TG.

Is your psp the only software that is running slow?

Also, did you install the SP3 windows upgrade before or after installing psp.

Thank you for the welcome Joe:-)

    Yes, only PSP is slow.

SP3 was installed weeks before PSP X2 Ultimate was.

Thank you for helping, I need all the help I can get here <g>

I do have PSP 9 installed also, in the same directory but in a different folder.

I have the plugins, tubes, frames, etc pin pointed to PSP Ultimate.

Maybe it's conflicting with PSP 9?

Did you get the retail box version or download?

Try the new background remover yet?

    Hello again Hooterville:-)

I wish I could uninstall PSP9 and see if that is the problem but the CD was broken and I won't be able to reinstall it. I am not much of a gambler but I may end up trying that <g>

I got the retail box version:-)
