you had me confused there for a while - but then rugby union is my game..

no magic wand - thats a raster tool not a vector one [no magic wand in illustrator either same reason]... they are fiddly to get truely accurate too..

I am glad you are getting to grips with this, Daveios, your spinning gif could be exported as transparent, and the background would disappear, except for the shadow.

I suggest you disable the shadow, anyway, as it increases the file size of the animated gif quite substantially. Other than that, it looks like a good effort, so pat yourself on the back, because a lot of would-be logo spinners give up before getting a result.

Not only that, you have broadened your horizons, because once you can draw your own vectors in XaraXtreme you can add more 3D detail to your image (see the attached badge), and can tackle many more projects, and not just for Xara3D.

I don't think there is any way to get rid of the "DEMO" notice.

Lets face it, if there was, it sort of defeats the object doesn't it!

Well Done, getting this far. It's not hard, just needs some understanding.

The next step is adjustment - Try and adjust the lighting (Just drag the lights around) so that you don't get quite the same dark/light transition whilst the object is spinning.

Xara 3D is a very economical programme. If you really want it, buy it! It's only the cost of a tank of gas!
