Very nice glass of water Bob. I have to admit I still blow bubbles when there is a straw in my glass.

This is a glass of water I started but did not have completed until today. Odd we both used a similar colour straw.

The .xar is attached with the original photo I used for reference on layer 1 which is not visible by default. My drawing is on layer 2 which is visible when you open the file.

Bob - Sorry to hear about the conditions in Spain. We here in UK are having our usual summer . We are still waiting for that continuous couple of weeks of sunshine and the water authorities issuing the hosepipe ban

Here is my contribution towards your challenge.

Bill - Excellent glass - or is it a mug ? I wasn't too sure about the straw refrection in your drawing when I first saw it in the XX forum, but having seen the original photo here, you've got it spot on. Great job.

Some nice examples being posted on this thread. Well done all.

Just an update on the original I posted earlier. Wasn't pleased with the outcome so did some work and I think it is better than the previous one (atleast the water drops are)

Steve - Like your tap in the sky. Nice one. So that is how God turns on the rain . Love the chrome effect.

Sammy I like your second image best of the two. Is that tropical rain dripping off Bamboo (or River Cane) ?

Egg the animated drops make it seem very real. Reminds me of watching rain drops on the windscreen of my car.

Brilliant water effect. So realistic I almost started wiping my screen . Your work is always so well obsvered, and accurate in detail.

Thanks for your comments Bill & Sammy. This is one of my favorite backgrounds. It's just a shame Flash doesn't import Xara feathering as it makes creating such an effect more difficult.
