    Default Water Challenge

We have been experiencing temperatures around 40-45ºc for a few weeks now, and for nearly a week we have been without water in our village. Our 1,000 litre water deposit is bone dry with tumbleweeds in it, and it hasn't rained since early April. Some of the villagers have been abstracting water to water their olive and almond orchards, and the police were called in to lock off their supplies after a protest at the town hall. We have had water today, albeit rationed to 4 hours and at low pressure. But it was good to see it again. As it has been on my mind a lot lately, I thought it would be a good idea to have a challenge to draw the stuff.
    The Rules:
The vector application of your choice, any tools you wish with the exception of the Live Effects or Plugins. Any type of water you like; a seascape, river, lake, waterfall, surf, rain, pond or just water in a glass.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

Bob sorry to hear about the water shortage.

Water restrictions are also very common here in Australia Bob, so I know the feeling well.
Though I have to say that since moving to the 'wet tropics' in '92 - I've become somewhat de-sensitized to drought.

Here's a tap with a little more pressure than you are allowed at the moment.
I did a little while back without the use of LE or plugins, just feathers and transparencies.

I found this great tutorial for creating water drops in the Xara Xone workbooks, I think it came out quite well

Frances they came out very well.

Here are some of those late night drips from a faucet when you cannot get to sleep.

Some lovely work here so far, I remember yours, Steve from a while back, it still looks great.
You have been busy Bill, I like the seascape particularly.
Thanks for your drop of water ankhor, very kind, not many people would give away their last drop of water.
Frances the drops on the leaf look very realistic.
I had read recently that there was proof of water under the surface of Mars
so your evidence goes to back that up, And, molecularly a bit different, though.
I confess to hand tracing this effort, based on entry D in this thread.
There's a bubble brush I made in the attached .xar file, which you can play with.
The hardest part was getting the drinking straw to look as if it was in the glass, which I did with transparencies.
    Saludos,
    Bob.
