    Default Anime Chick

Did this as a surprise for my friend's birthday. He is learning Japanese and is in fact in Japan now on an exchange program.

I can't draw anime, however I referenced from several other anime and put it all together.

It was printed onto Expanded PVC with a UV Printer and then routed out and made to stand up. It was about 1.6m tall.

    **edit**
I referenced body shapes but hand drew the clothes and hair.

    Done in Illustrator.

    like that

maybe the white space at the bottom could have done with some [very subtle] background rather than plain white...

ideally it would not be there from my point of view, but I guess its necessary for support? [I don't do vinyl cutouts...]

I agree Steve however moved slightly to her right, it would cover that hole in the wall

It's not vinyl, its a type of foam.

The white space is there for support and there could have been a background - i agree. However I had the idea 2days before his bday and that thing took 2 nights of staying up till 3am(on work days) to complete. lol

Pretty cool Scott! hopefully it was a big hit with your friend. I am not into anime. Guess I am just too old to appreciate it.
