they look too real for me. I don't even like garden snakes. They all give me the willies.

    John,

I have been building steps in the back garden because Laura has difficulty with sloping surfaces. The snake decided to cross the path. It was straight until I came back with my camera.

Either a Taipan or Brown snake (moved to quickly to be certain) was disturbed in my backyard just last week.
I think it was a young one as it was only about a metre long (that I saw) as it slitherd away into the bushes.
My bare ankles were about 6 inches away from it when I'd unkowingly disturbed it.
Scary because the Taipan has the most toxic venom of any snake species worldwide! The Brown snake being a little less venomous but quite deadly.

Happily, both snakes are shy and would rather run that say hi

    Nice play with pictures Rich.

The only ones I have seen in my yard are the garter snake variety. Mostly when I cutting the grass early in the morning. Then it is usually just one half or the other. They do get kinda upset after they loose a fight with a lawn mower. Not on purpose mind you.

After I chopped 3 one morning, I started cutting the yard later in the day, so they can get a slithering chance.

One snake for things to make.

The overlap is done with three sets of images. There are two copies of the front image. One in front and one in back. The second image is in the middle. Then, you can slice parts out of the front image without having a precision cutter, and the back image matches the inprefections. Looks like a perfect fit.
