    Default Playing around

Well, it's been a while since I posted anything and I happened to get a chance to play around a little bit this weekend so I thought I'd share. He's not much, really just a chance to play around with a look for a site mascot. I tend not to see the flaws until I take one of these to some degree of completion.... so, it's doubtful this lil guy will go anywhere, but there were some lessons learned in making him.

    enjoy......

****edit**** The above sounds a bit self deprecating, I certainly like parts of this image and will be redoing it once I make the changes needed. To explain the process, the image was actually done with a combination of painter and Xara. Painter for the linework and Xara for the coloring. This system worked really well to give sharp lines with good width variance but keeping the crisp clean look of vectors.

Very enjoyable image Thatch. The energy of youth is very evident in your subject.

Well, I don't have your eye for detail, but from what I see it looks perfect. This is an outstandingly drawn image.

Thanks folks. I'll see what I can do about posting more. I don't manage to get a lot of work done each year and what I do get done isn't all done in Xara. I'm glad this one was well met.
