    Default Cave

I've been playing around with fills and transparencies, trying to create the mouth of a cave.

That's pretty convincing, Frances. You might want a giant rabbit a la Monty Python, guarding the entrance, or a common or garden monster.

Frances - Very realistic stone and ground texture and structure. Well done. A deeper black mouth would deepen the mystery of the cave Nice work though.

    pretty nice Frances.

Valery did a mini tut on drawing rocks many years ago. You minght want to do a search for caves here. More fun than spilunking (sp?). The main point for convincing rocks is the use of highlights and shadows. Valery's rocks looked pretty good in the tutorial (then again I have not seen anything bad from Valery).

Thanks everyone, for the encouraging comments.

John: I tried searching for that tutorial you mentioned, but couldn't find it. I made a few changes and add a few shadows.

Bob: I couldn't resist adding some cartoony eyes peering out from the darkness.
