Egg,
A timely presentation.
Good job.

A wonderful time saver. Thank you--I didn't know that was possible.
That certainly helps - thanks Egg

Nice tip Egg.
I guess it is really standard Windows functionality - use the shift key to select a range - but I had never thought to try it in the Layers Palette.
Thanks for the great tip, Egg. (How are you getting that clicking sound when you check/uncheck the boxes?)

Noisy mouse I guess.
John.
The mouse is silent John, it's my Bamboo graphics pad that's doing the clicking ;-) It has the option of the click sound which I find helpful. Unfortunately it's volume can't be set independently, so when making video tuts and requiring the volume up the click can become annoyingly loud.

Ummm Guys... It is shift-click to shift-click, not click to shift-click. I have used the Layers gallery for years and never even thought about this time saver Egg.
Now if you can only find a way to select multiple layers, so we can change the order of a whole group of layers then we would be "cooking with gas..."
Thanks again Egg for finding that one.
I can't watch the video, youtube is blocked in the office here.
OT: However i always wanted a shortcut to cycle through the color palette for fill and line colors instead of clicking into the palette. Would be nice to have.
