    Default Uploading Frustration

    Hello All.
Is there anyone who can tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I saved the XARA template for my main page as index.html, uploaded it to the server and the menu/buttons/photos do not appear.

I tried following the FAQ responses on this topic but have not had any success.

from my [very limited] knowledge of uploading to sites - have you tried it with file as index.htm [ instead of index.html ]

if the site is 'there' but not working correctly I think you will need to give a url for members to look at

yes it was only a possibility - but now I see you have the main page up there ok , it is not likely to make any difference

    you are using webstyle?

I have never used that particular program - but there should be someone who can help before too long - good luck

    and welcome to TG

Look at the source code of your HTML page and search for ".jpg", ".gif" and ".png". Then you'll see, which graphics are required. You have to upload them (in the right folder) - otherwise your Webserver isn't able to deliver them to your Webbrowser.

    Unfortunately I don't know, because I don't use Xara's Webstyle.

I will move this thread to the Webstyle forum. Perhaps there are also some other threads, which could be helpful.

Ah, if you mean the "Control panel" of your webserver, then you are right. Additionally you could use a FTP program or WinSCP (depends on your Webspace).

The principle is easy: The Webbrowser loads the HTML file and sees some references to your images. Then, the Webbrowser tries to load the referenced files. Therefore the files must be there - with the right name and in the right folder.
