Default Painter Slowing Down! Now Failing!!

During the last few weeks, I've been having varying problems with Painter; when zooming out I'm being left with an image from the zoomed in image; when using the Underpainting option, when I click to stop it didn't, I got 'not responding' and then when it did finally stop the image was further on than I wanted; today I was using the 'brush creator' and I couldn't get the toolbox to show at the same time as the brush creator; there is often a wait for brush strokes to complete!!

My computer is a stand alone, dual pro 2.8g, 2g mem, 250g hard drive and is only used for painter artwork.

It is most certainly slowing down and failing. My computer is clean, but I'm now at a loss to solve the problem. Can someone help please?

    Many Thanks

Jinny's page on Keeping Painter 6 through Painter X.1 Running Smoothly may help you. Also I've noticed on my PC, which has Norton Protected Recycle bin on the rubbish box, clearing out the Proctected files helps too.
