Well, I'm certainly glad to know that it wasn't me going more daffy than I already am.
I too am seeing placeholders in place of the red squares.

Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read. Groucho Marx.
It means Bob's been kicked back to a newbie!

The member (red square) ranking plug-in that Antony installed way back, broke in the last upgrade.
It is possible there is a new version of the plug-in may be available. Risto and Xara are aware of it
I'm guessing that Drifter uses Internet Explorer and Pauland uses Firefox? The images are missing no matter which browser you use, but Firefox displays the text from missing image's ALT tag when a file cannot be found, and Internet Explorer shows a red cross, accompanied by the text from the ALT tag.
In the rank images' case, there is no ALT tag, so Firefox displays nothing and Internet Explorer displays a red cross without accompanying text.
Are you sure? It looks more like someone deleted the http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/ranks/ folder and its contents.
red blocks still here in my ffox 3 - or am I missing something else?

Daniel, directory listing is disabled, which is why that folder location (and any other sub-folder of TG) will give you a blank page.
The normal 403 error message of:
Is also not enabled by the looks of it.Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /images/ranks on this server.
It's probabably a permissions change with 3.7.2 that broke the ranking plug-in.
Xara are aware of it.
Steve, might be a local cache issue. Can you empty your FF3 cache/history and restart FF?
No blocks in FF3 here
spot - on steve - no squares with local caches cleared
[that would no doubt have occurred to me eventually ]

The most interesting new feature is the "tags" feature. You can label your posts with keywords and you're also able to search for tagged posts:
- Click on "Search" and click on "Tag search"
- You can click on the Tag cloud or you can type in the first few words of your searched tag, for example the three letters "opt" and after a second the list shows all tags with "opt" in the beginning and a simple click on the list entry "optical illusions" starts the search for all posts, tagged with "optical illusions".
- The most posts in the tag cloud are tagged with keywords in their plural forms (for example "video tutorials" instead of "video tutorial").
Happy "tagging"
