It does sound like a Vista UAC issue.

Michael do you have the UAC (User Account Control) enabled?

Yes it was a Vista UAC issue - hadn't had any problems with this till today...

Deinstalled Xtreme - deactivated UAC - rebooted - installed it as admin - rebooted - checked and it worked

On the other side after it worked, i activated UAC, rebooted and it doesnt work anymore, so again deactivated UAC...

Thank you so much for your help - wouldn't know what i am without you guys!!
