    Default Flash

I set this up for flash, but forgot to turn it on.

    Next time, maybe.

It is funny when we don't do something 'correct' and the photo turns out brilliantly. I was photographing my son's band and my Pentaxt decided to set itself by dropping the speed down very low, like 1/10 and the shot came out VG, a wavey light affect.
Great shot Rich with great effects.

    Hi Rupert,

The real trick is to learn how to do those "accidents" on purpose. Most times I use a tripod and a cable release when I want a great shot even when I am shooting at 4000/f5.6. My very next shot might be at 1sec/f45.

I only use auto when I don't have the time for a manual shot. You have so much more control over the machine in full manual.

A camera is like a jet fighter. You can get there on autopilot, but I wouldn't want autopilot in a dogfight.

    John,

People around here drive on auto pilot seemingly in a dog fight mode.

Oooooo... I like that one. Very nice flutterby.

I have to agree with you. I drove for a couple weeks in CA one afternoon... Whew... I am still shocked I survived.
