    Default Some wallpapers I created

I'm still learning Xara and after messing with some icons (u can check my previous post about it, in this same board) I decided to start creating some wallpapers. Again, they're mainly a way to learn the tools. I'm posting a preview of each one followed by a link to download 'em if you wanna use 'em on your pc :

3 Opera browser inspired wallpapers (featured also on Opera site). Yes I do love Opera Browser Last one has a cool effect created with Paint.Net over a simple macosx-like wallpaper done in Xara :

    Download Opera Wallpaper 002

    Download Opera Wallpaper 003

    Download Opera Wallpaper 004

One wallpaper I created for myself, my fav one actually :

    Download Lostconnection Energetic Wallpaper 001

One wallpaper I created mainly as manual tracing exercise, it took kinda 3h to trace Nagato manually and fix all nodes, but now that I know how todo it I guess I could go a bit faster :

    Download Nagato Yuki Wallpaper

I hope you like 'em, have a nice day mates

Different generations... All characters with the overly large eyes are all speed racer kids from my generation. I think they are called manga or something like that these days. For me they are all... go speed racer go.

Manga = Japanese Comics (mostly black and white)
Anime = Japanese Animation (Hana Barbara type thing, but Japanese)

'Speed Racer' is an English adaptation of Mach GoGoGo
An early example of an anime becoming a successful franchise in the United States.

Anime is a 'huge' industry in Japan which has an enormous following worldwide.
My son has many hundreds of Anime series and episodes on DVD. It is a passion of his (along with his Toyota AE86, a vehicle with a cult-like following which was popularised by the Anime series 'Initial D')
He became so involved with Anime that for a few years he was part of an international team who would translate new releases for English subtitling.
It is in fact how he learned the Japanese language.

Andrea, great work. Please keep posting

thanks Sledger! I was going to post some similar info actually, I'm a great fan of manga and anime, and I actually enjoy drawing em too, since high school and till now -- so next vector manga (actually a vector CGI, it should be called) will be something based on my own works
