There have been many techniques for creating metallic text posted over the years. This is one that uses the new Extrude Tool, a Bevel, and the Feather slider.
1. Select your font, type your text, resize if needed.
2. Duplicate the text and move to the side temporarily.
3. Extrude the original text.
4. Select the duplicate text.
5. Apply an inner bevel.
6. Feather the beveled text.
7. Position the beveled text over the extruded text.
Colours can vary according to your preference or to "reflect" the background colour.
In the attached .xar file all fonts have been converted to shapes to in the event you do not have the fonts that were used.
