    Default Wisps

    Having a break from web graphics so I thought I'd try a wispy type image.

    Like the drawing Egg, love the translucent effect. It reminds me of the Adobe CS3 illustrations and icons for some of their packages. How did you get that effect? was it the blend tool to get the ribbons?
    Design is thinking made visual.

    Thanks all. Yes Albacore, the shapes start out as blends with an "s" type position profile. Then I clone and move, convert line to shapes and apply a linear fill and finally add a transparency. I've used about 5 or 6 blends and then altered the shape using the mould tool. I attach the xar file should anyone wish to pull it apart.

    Well that was a bit of fun !

    I looked into your file and saw the use of the "S" shaped positioning for the blend distribution.

    Nice effect.

    Great effects Egg. I haven't ever really played around with profiles or attributes in any of the tools.
