    Default Removing background from images

I am finding this too hard, I googled and found some companies that do this sort of thing, has anyone tried them? Is clipping path the same as deepetching. http://www.deepetch.com seems to be one good one, I also saw http://www.rapidclipping.com/Photosh...pping/home.htm and http://www.ezyclipping.com. Has anyone had any experience with this sort of thing. My catalog has over 300 images of jewelery and jackets with fur fitted on manequins due in two weeks, all shot on a blue studio background. Do I require alpha channel masking? Can anyone help please?

As all the photos are on a blue background, I would have thought that Photoshop's selection tools would do the trick, namely the magic wand tool, with a low tolerance setting. This should just select the blue background which you can delete, and save your result as a .png file with alpha transparency.

Not done any chroma key (bluescreen) matting myself, you could check STEP OK 'Recomposit' software
Not terribly expensive ($39) for what it appears to do.. You can even get it for free with TrialPay

Hmmm, thought I answered this, must have forgot to click before closing the browser.

I use Adobe After Effects for complex objects. It has a plug-in called keylight used in video, but good for stills as well. (about a $1000 plug-in that comes free with the program)
