Default Icone and integration in KDE

    Hi

    I did install in /home/Me/xaralx

The actualisation routine from KDE did not find xaralx in /home/Me/xaralx/bin/ .

What is the easiest way to complete the installation in Debian Etch / KDE 3.5 ?

I wish that xaral appairs in the KDE start menu under "Graphics"

I wish to have a very little start icone directly in the commando bar.

    Bye

Default Re: Icone and integration in KDE

    To create icon on desktop:
right click Desktop, select "Create new" and click "Link to application". Write Xaralx where it says "Link to Application". Goto "Application" tab and click "Browse" and goto xaralx bin folder, click xaralx and then open. Then click OK in bottom right of the window.

To change icon to the xaralx one:
Right click your new xaralx icon and choose "Properties". In properties window click the kde gear next to Xaralx title. In the window that appears (takes a little while to load icons) click radio button for "Other icons" and then the "Browse" button and go to the unzipped Xaralx folder and select the official xaralx icon from there. click OK to finish.

Now you should be able to drag-and-drop your newly created icon to both Menu and Toolbar.

I really hope this was helpfull.
