    Default Rotoscoping in Corel

This has no doubt been covered before. I just don't seem to be able to find it.

I am in the process of producing a 5 minute short rotoscoped film. I am new to Painter x though have been told that it would be a good tool for what I want to do.

Does anybody have any links to good tutorials in regards to rotoscoping and Painter. Or have any tips.

I have imported my AVI (after my first little problem was solved) and I want to be able to paint frame by frame which I don't seem to be able to do. As the previous frame remains. I have tried trace paper and movie clone, still no luck.

I am very excited about using Painter x and can see that it is a powerfull enough program I just need to know how.

    Thank you.

I haven't used the Rotoscoping feature for at least a decade so can't help much. However, there's extensive information in Painter's Help Topics that you can read:

NOTE: If you haven't already, I'd strongly suggest that you read the whole Animation and Video chapter.

Painter X Help > Help Topics > Contents tab > Animation and Video

Click the plus sign to the left of Animation and Video, then click Rotoscoping.

On the right panel, read that entire section.

    Good luck!

    Oh, sorry, Fes.

Isn't that frustrating when you've spent the time to respond, then find someone else already said the same thing?

At least we agree on the advice, and that's a good thing.

    Cheers!
