upload site and links don't work?

Hi all,

Puzzeled upload site click on links eg home, about, contact and none of them work what am i doing wrong? Really unable to work this out? Any ideas would be grateful.

Can you post a link to the site you are having problems with?

When you uploaded did you make sure all the images and javascript files were included and placed in the correct relative locations as they were on you system?

My order of doing things, I'm using Vista Home Premium with Frontpage 3000 with user accounts turned off!
Architect (theme)
Saved 1st Webpage as 'index'
Saved 2nd as 'about'
saved 3rd as 'downloads'

Back in WS4 2nd and 3rd webpages created within 'layout'

Buttons and Menus URL information I entered:
http://www.rodsbargains.co.uk
http://www.rodsbargains.co.uk/about.htm
http://www.rodsbargains.co.uk/downloads/htm

My setup information for 'index' page defaulted into 'about' & 'downloads' using copy function given choice of copy or do not

copy which popped up.

Looking in documents at default folder 'My Web Pages' this is what's their.
Type:

File Folder - about_files
File Folder - downloads_files
File Folder - index_files
HTML Document - about
HTML Document - downloads
HTML Document - index
JScript Script File - xaramenu

1. Uploaded the 3 HTML Documents and xaramenu to public_html
2. Uploaded each File Folder to public_html (so example: public_html/about_files)

After using Frontpage uploaded everything again.

This only a quick test site to try and get Home, About, Downloads buttons working.

The URL for the Home, About and Downloads should goto the index.htm(l), about.htm and downloads.htm respectively. For some unknown reason they are linked to index_hnavbar.html and index_vnavbar.html pages, which I assume don't exist. Not sure why they are linked there, but it's definitely wrong. I would edit the anchor tags directly in Frontpage.

Anchor tags don't show in frontpage? My index page defaulted to:
Home architect_hnavbar.html
About architect_hnavbar2.html
Downloads architect_hnavbar3.html

After I set it up as:

So scrapped the whole lot and started again this time files I uploaded where:
File Folder - about_files
File Folder - downloads_files
File Folder - index_files
HTML Document - about
HTML Document - downloads
HTML Document - index

without the JScript Script File - xaramenu (which never appeared this time?)

And seems to work ok now!

Anchor tags don't show in frontpage?

You can edit them directly in the html, just click on the html tab at the bottom. Or you can click on the object, press the hyperlink and edit them directly from there.
