That works So much so that somebody looking at it - out of its context here - would think it was just a pic of a bear behind glass and not realise the skill involved in producing the image.

    Very effective #3, Derek.

looks like a park or seaside shelter.
I take it this was done with XXP?

It was a shelter at the seaside so people can enjoy the great outdoors in Britain while sitting inside out of the drizzle.

I just thought I'd bump this thread along...

It's been a productive Memorial Day weekend...

Cleaned up the yard, ripped up the macadam to get rid of the pesky date and time stamp and replaced it with a brick road. Hefted a couple of feline gargoyles I had stored in the garage to either side of the driveway to make enough room to dig a lake in the garage. Swiped a diving board from the neighbors and installed it (for when the kids visit). Since the house has been on the market for over a year, and after all of that hard work, I figured I might as well stay where I am. So, I fired the real estate agent and scrapped the unsightly for sale sign. Time to grab a beer (or two) and fire up the grill. And, no, it's not really my house.

Son Dereks Japan jaunt is almost over, he flys back to Australia tomorrow night (30th).

One of the (many) highlights of his trip was to travel the Mt Haruna rd with which he is familiar from the Japanese TV series 'InitialD'.
(In the series it is called Mount Akina)

This particular Japanese animated series (anime). and then others, was the reason that he's lust for this particular Toyota model was ignited and which is now finally now leading to fruition.
It is also how he became more interested in Japanese culture, it is how he learned the language and, ultimately has led him to spend a little time in Japan to learn more about it.

Although he obviously couldn't take his own car and drive (or 'drift' the bends of the Mt Haruna Road, he travelled the length of it by bus, taking photos along the way.
I though I'd use Xara Xtreme to plonk him with his car on that famous road.
